FRENCH BISTRO OPENS IN OAKLAND, NJ WITH CELEBRITY CHEF AT FOREFRONT OF SAVORY MENU

OAKLAND, New Jersey - A new taste comes to Bergen County as gourmet restaurant French Oak Bar & Grill opens its doors this week in Oakland, NJ at 20 Elm Street. Blending French/American cuisine this new format to a traditional bistro will offer a range from modernized entrees to classic bar & grill staples.

Owners Nathalie and Loic Cadou emerge from decades long success at La Mirabelle on the Upper West Side in New York City. After shuttering their doors during the pandemic, they began the migration process over the Hudson and are looking forward to bringing their warm and hospitable energy to this growing community. “Everyone who comes through our doors becomes family...” says Cadou, “...that has been our family motto since my parents opened our first restaurant 37 years ago.”

With an ever-changing palette, the menu at French Oak aims to offer new flavors to it’s patrons seasonly. “The precision to which Chef Eric has guided our team is without measure,” says Cadou.

Immaculately pairing A salmon filet with a luxurious dijon sauce accompanied by a fig balsamic glaze defines the level of excitement you will experience at French Oak. Complimenting the evening is an array of wine and cocktails, featuring a modern mix on bar favorites including a Cranberry Margarita embellished with smoked rosemary.
